The Satisfactions from Washington, D.C. (tenor lead Sam Gilbert, 2nd tenor James "Junior" Isom, baritone Ronald Boyd and bass James Mitchell), had these two modest flings with national fame - a cover of the Dinah Washington hit This Bitter Earth - # 36 R&B and # 96 Billboard Pop Hot in July as Lionel b/w the standard Ol' Man River, and the Oct # 21 R&B/# 94 Hot One 4/5(1).

Aug 05,  · Originally released in this is a rare LP originally released on Invictus, Hotwax label. This release is so obscure there is little information about them online. This is a vocal, soul classic that features the masterful title track ‘Come On Back’ and the monster club cut ‘Lets Change The Subject’.

Duncanmusic a dit. Talk about missed opportunities. I was getting promotional copies from Buddah Records and their subsidiaries Hot Wax, Brut, Cobblestone, Curtom, and more and HAD this one, Rodriquez, Fresf Flavor, Midnight Movers, Swamp Dog, and all that Bill Withers and Creative Source stuff and didn't really appreciate all of it when I had them (qa couple I DID get hip to) back in
